It took 24 hours by bus, with many many stops on the way to Stone henge. I saw some exciting things, met some strange people, made some life-long friends, visited burial mounds and heritage sites, ate the yummiest fish and chips ever, saw a magic show at a local pub, visited a man-made mountain, visited a small town called Hungerfield and ate about 3 kilos of junk food to finally meet up with 28,000 travelers who cheered and banged drums to watch the sunrise at Stonehenge on the longest day of the year. The sun came around at 4:58 am but was barely visible through the clouds.
Stonehenge is one of Britain's most popular tourist attractions on Salisbury Plan about 130 kilometers and was built over three phases between 3000 BC and 1600 BC. It was a beautiful site, the large massive rocks in a perfect circle alignment, def worth a visit with chuckload of friends!
