Behind the Scenes of the Fran Shoot

Here are some collective of shots of behind scene footage of the Fran shoot. Myself and the features editor styled and photographed our model and muse of the moment Fran for the newly launched Sketchbook Blog. Follow our blog and let us know your thoughts on the shoot ! We were going for a very relaxed natural blogeresce feel. We shot Fran in our local Kensington street next to the colourful doors and clean pavements. Being behind the camera was such a great experience, can't wait to do it again.

Shooting with Fran

My comrade and partner in crime, Luma Bashmi snapped up these lovely photos of me shooting our model and muse of the moment Fran from her blackberry. It was the first time Luma and I styled and shot together and it was a euphoric experience being behind the camera and shooting in our Notting Hill area. The photos will be up on the Sketchbook Magazine Blog but keep watching this space as we update it everyday - at least a few times a day. Give us your rants, raves, comments on the new magazine blog.

Style Bubble + Sketchbook Magazine

I love Style Bubble. I love Style Bubble's work so much that I put her on the first cover of Sketchbook Magazine. She showed some blog love by posting a short preview on my first issue, The Fashion Blogger Issue. Its coming out right after London Fashion Week so watch this space for updates. One of the graphic designers from SB Magazine kindly screen printed these images from the Style Bubble blog for our press folder. Click on the links below them to read the full review. Style Bubble also snapped up Kristen Knox our beloved Fashion Editor in New York Fashion Week. We can't wait to see them both in our hometown for the 25th anniversary fashion bash!

My Magazine - Sketchbook

Its no secret I have been in blog hideaway for a few weeks. I blame it on many-a factors. One being the fast approaching London Fashion Week 25th anniversary extravagance. I have been prepping for it, figuring out outfits for the week, doing my research for written reports etc. Second I blame it on the debut of my new magazine , Sketchbook. A new quarterly magazine that showcases established and emerging creative talents in fashion, design and culture with a focus on features, photography and illustration.

Featuring original sketchbook graphics, exclusive interviews with scientists in jelly and photographers in Africa, we present our finds in a raw and exposed fashion. In Sketchbook, it's not just about the product itself, but also about the beauty of the process of conceptualization, creation and appreciating the means to an end.

Sketchbook is a labour of love with 150 people involved from editorial staff, photographers, illustrators, graphic artists, and designers. I have been establishing its brand, configuring team, and soon will launch Sketchbook TV a live production of behind the scenes of our shoots and talented people we meet on a daily basis. Here is your first peek at the cover of our first issue : Fashion Blogger Issue with Style Bubble on the cover. Here is the range of covers we will be using for our magazine. Send us your comments+raves+rants on our twitter page or facebook group and facebook fan page. Follow us for update as we are launching the magazine by end of September.
