Old School. Classic. Whatever you want to call it. But My Girl (1991) is one of the most amazing movies I grew up with. Vada Sultenfuss is obsessed with death. Her mother is dead, and her father runs a funeral parlor. She is also in love with her English teacher, and joins a poetry class over the summer just to impress him. Thomas J., her best friend, is "allergic to everything", and sticks with Vada despite her hangups. *I love the bond between Thomas and Vada.
I've got sunshine
On a cloudy day.
When it's cold outside,
I've got the month of May.
Talkin' bout my girl.
I've got sushine on cloudy day
With my girl.
I've even got the month of May With my girl.
I've got sushine on cloudy day
With my girl.
I've even got the month of May With my girl.

Gosh, I remember obsessing about Vada and living in a trailer, I was nearly the same age as her when the movie came out so, you know. Thanks for the memory.
